Krill Oil

Krill oil is a dietary supplement derived from Antarctic krill, a small crustacean, that contains beneficial omega-3 fatty acids (EPA and DHA), phospholipids, and the antioxidant astaxanthin. It is used to support heart, brain, and joint health, reduce inflammation, and improve skin health, though more research is needed for many claims. Due to its phospholipid-bound fats, krill oil may be more easily absorbed by the body than fish oil, and its natural astaxanthin content may reduce the need for fishy aftertaste and help prevent oxidation.
